There are still many other traces of Bung Karno that can be traced through various documents, as well as oral narratives from witnessing history.
However, there has been a systematic “desukarnoisasi” movement for three decades, it does not mean that the facts become vague, straight pillars become crooked, or even obscure the history of Soekarno itself.
To further explore and actualize Sukarno’s teachings for the benefit of the nation and world civilization, the I and Sukarno Foundation (YADS) in collaboration with Infobank and GALANESIA will hold SOEKARNO MENJALANKAN JUDAH – HALF MARATHON, 10K, 5K & BIKE TOUR 2018 on Saturday, June 30 on Jl. . On behalf of the committee, I will inform you that the Soekarno Run Thru History activity (now called SOEKARNO MARATHON 2018) will be postponed to Saturday, November 10, 2018 with the same route, category and location, in Surabaya as well as to commemorate the PAHLWAN NATIONAL DAY and the EMPAT PILARSAAN Program.
This delay is the result of an agreement between new stakeholders such as the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR RI), Surabaya City Government, Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, Garuda Indonesia and the I And Sukarno Foundation with the Old Event Management namely Infobank.
